Acknowledge His Presence. You are not alone!

You have been placed into a room of total darkness. Inside with you are others; friends, family and even your enemies. You have other senses of touch, smell and hearing that you utilize to some degree of success, so much so that you are almost oblivious to the reality of the darkness you are within. But still there lingers the darkness of much uncertainty, fears, loneliness, death, the unknown and even your own destructive ways that your conscience has revealed to you. How comforting it would be to have someone close by who could miraculously see through the darkness, someone who is acquainted with the place so that they could advise you of the unseen realities of this place and guide you through your journey.

Then, miraculously, an offer is revealed to you for this continual everlasting companionship that would satisfy your needs of: knowing the reality of the unseen, life, advice and guidance, and the inward comfort of love and acceptance. The darkness of the certainty of death, the reality of the condemnation of the conscience of your heart and the awaiting punishment were exposed to you by the Light. You turn your heart from the ways that appose this companionship with this savior and join yourself to him freely. You are granted the gift of forgiveness of your transgressions and New Life over death because Someone paid your penalty for you. Your heart is captured.

Wow, there is even more. Not only does this new found companion know the place, he created it! What an advantage. He even has power over your unseen enemies. So, the question for you is; will you ignore the reality of the presence of this companion that has been freely given to you. Will you continue in the habits of survival and defense that you developed in the past through your own inadequate senses or will you acknowledge his presence and walk with him, following his every step, talking with him, listening to him, receiving his affections and giving him yours.

I John 1
“This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all. 6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth. 7 But if we are living in the light of God's presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin.”

I Corinthians 6
“…the person who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. …don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?”

Philippians 2
1 “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose.”

John 14
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you…He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.”

Titus 3
“He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit.”

James 4
“You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? 6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

Galatians 5
“If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.” Or “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”
